che certo guarderanno male la nostra gioia,
talvolta, fieri e sempre indulgenti, è vero?
Andremo allegri e lenti sulla strada modesta

Nell’amore isolati come in un bosco nero,
i nostri cuori insieme, con quieta tenerezza,
saranno due usignoli che cantan nella sera.
Quanto al mondo, che sia con noi dolce o irascibile,
non ha molta importanza. Se vuole, esso può bene
accarezzarci o prenderci di mira a suo bersaglio.
Uniti dal più forte, dal più caro legame,
e inoltre ricoperti di una dura corazza,
sorrideremo a tutti senza paura alcuna.
Noi ci preoccuperemo di quello che il destino
per noi ha stabilito, cammineremo insieme
la mano nella mano, con l’anima infantile di quelli che si amano in modo puro, vero?”
